Dear Shilling Family,
My thought and prayers are with you all in your time of grief. Jared was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was a great friend to my girls (Carmen & Lacey Cole) and he was always a gentleman. I would be so proud to have had a son like Jared.

Dear Shilling family,
My heart and prayers are with you all as you begin this journey of grief and sadness over your son's death while serving this country. He is a hero and a patriot...I thank him for his service to Family, Country and our God.
My son, Cpt. Christopher Soelzer, was killed in Iraq on December 24, 2003. I know your pain and your loss. There is a hole in the world tonight. May you mourn well that you might live well. Honoring him and always saying his name.
Sincerely,
