Leonard Andera Obituary

Leonard E. Andera

CHAMBERLAIN -Leonard E. Andera, 77, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. 

Survivors include his wife, Kay, Chamberlain; children, Ken Andera, Algonic, Mich., Tom Andera, Yankton, Dan Andera, Chamberlain, Mike Andera, Kirkland, Wash., Angela Schindler, Tea, and Tim Andera, DeFuniack Springs, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin Andera, North St.Paul, Minn., Bernard Andera, Parkston, Alvin Andera, David Andera and Ronnie Andera, all of Mitchell, Roger Andera, Garretson, and Gail Andera, Sioux Falls.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CST Thursday, Feb. 9, at Hickey Funeral Chapel. 

A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. CST with a scripture service at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at St. James Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at the church.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. 

A memorial has been established to Kiwanis Scholarship Fund of Chamberlain.
