Born in Birdsboro, he was the son of A. Mae (Stuart) wife of Carl K. Morse, Allentown, and the late George E.
Bagenstose.
He graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School in 1963, and later attended a farrier school in Texas.
He was a member of Ziegel's Lutheran Church,
Breinigsville.
He worked as a truck driver for the former Chemical Neiman Tank Lines later becoming Quality Carriers,
retiring in 2001. After retirement, he did a lot of farrier work.
Mike enjoyed NASCAR, attending tractor shows and
auctions, and horseback riding. He was a member of
Kempton Fire Company, Shoemakersville Fire
Company, and the Pennsylvania Artist Blacksmiths'
Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, G. Michael Bagenstose Jr., husband of Sharon L. (Snyder), New Tripoli; two granddaughters, Caitlin R. Bagenstose and Samantha L. Bagenstose; three siblings: Jane Y.
(Bagenstose), wife of John L. Bowman, Orefield, Peter R. Bagenstose, partner of Tim E. Bradford, Tamaqua, and Holly I. (Bagenstose), wife of Kurt A. Wentz, Germansville. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marge Bagenstose, Catasauqua; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Harley.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Todd E.
Bagenstose, and Scott S. Bagenstose.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Ziegel's Cemetery, 9990 Ziegel's Church Rd., Breinigsville, PA 18031.
