Unger, Scott - Reading  
After a courageous battle with cancer, Scott D. Unger, 57, of Shillington passed with peace and grace on June 19, 2015, with his family by his side. Born in Reading, PA in May 1958 to Jack and Ruth Unger. He was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1976. He married Deborah (nee Suchoza) in 1978. They were married for 36 blissful years. Scott was a devoted employee at JC Ehrlich for 29 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; children: Vanessa Unger-Haydinger and her spouse, Andrew Haydinger of West Chester; Andrew Unger of West Lawn; and Sarah Unger and fiancé, Nathan Matthias, of Reading. Other living relatives include mother, Ruth; brothers, Barry Unger of Mechanicsburg and Glenn Unger of Gouglersville; and 14 nieces and nephews. Scott is predeceased by his father, Jack; brother, Terry; sister, Patricia; and nephew, Kirk. A devoted family man, Scott enjoyed hunting, boating, golfing, working and helping others. He looked forward to yearly family vacations with his wife and children. He also took pleasure in time with his extended family. He was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol. Service will take place on July 11, 2015, at the Slovok Catholic Sokol Hall (411 Crestmont Street, Reading, PA 19611) at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the same venue. Urban, Thelma (Glatz) - Auburn  
Thelma (Glatz) Urban, 40, of Lake Wynonah, formerly of Coaldale, died Monday morning following a sudden illness. Thelma was born in Coaldale on May 10, 1975. She was the wife of Michael H. Urban, whom she married June 20, 1998, and with whom she had a son, Sean James, and a daughter, Violet Mary. She was the daughter of Ralston C. Glatz and the late Mildred (Lord) Glatz, Coaldale. Thelma worked as a high school English teacher at Tamaqua Area High School since 2000. She was beloved as a skilled and caring educator, mentor and champion for those who needed help. She was an incredible wife with a heart as beautiful as she was. She cherished learning and saw life as an adventure. But among all the things she loved doing, all the beauty she appreciated around her, it was playing, laughing, dancing and snuggling with her children she enjoyed most. She gave of herself her entire life, and at life's end was an organ donor. She was of the Jehovah Witnesses faith. In addition to her husband, children and father, she is survived by: sister, Theresa, wife of Barry Veron, Lansford; sister, Sonya Glatz, Emmaus; nieces and nephews; Genavie, Barry (Junior) Jr., Victoria, Stephanie, Sophia and Leif; in-laws, Robert and Mary Urban, Lake Wynonah; brother-in-law, James and his wife, Marlene, Coaldale. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 714 Golf Road, Tamaqua, PA 18252. Family and friends are invited to call from 1-3 p.m. at the hall.
