Marko, Sherry (Moyer) - Hamburg  
Sherry Kaye Marko, 55, of Mohrsville died in her home on April 7, 2015. She was the wife of Joseph Marko Jr., to whom she was married to for ten years. Sherry was born in W. Reading on April 11, 1959 and was the daughter of the late Chester Moyer and Kay (White) Moyer of Leesport. She was a 1977 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and Reading Area Community College. Sherry last worked as a corporate accountant for Boscov's, Reading, PA. In addition to her mother and husband, a brother, Timothy Moyer, Leesport, a sister, Debbie, wife of Howard Young, Bern Township, survive her. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Martzall, Glen - Reamstown  
Glen H. Martzall, 61, Reinholds, died April 6, 2015, in Reading Hospital. Born in Ephrata, he was co-owner of Shu-Mar Fuels, Adamstown, and worked for E. F. Martzall, Reinholds, and drove truck for Automotive Services, last working for Strickler Excavating, both of Sinking Spring. A 1971 Wilson H. S. graduate, Glen enjoyed hunting and loved riding motorcycle. He was a member of St. John's UCC, Denver. Surviving: parents, Harlan F. and Dorothy M. (Horst) Martzall, Reinholds; wife, Kristen (Ross) Martzall, Wernersville; children: Thomas (Jamie) Martzall, Leesport; Derek Martzall, Sinking Spring; Heath (Kaci) Martzall, Robesonia; Brittany Hrezik, Sinking Spring; and Kierra Glass, Wernersville; 5 grandchildren; sisters: Susan (Howard) Ellefson, Reinholds; Linda (Richard) Shuker, Mohnton; Julie (Douglas) Shade, Reinholds; and brother, David (Barbara) Martzall, Adamstown. A memorial celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Reamstown. McVaugh Jr., Russell - Wernersville  
Russell E. McVaugh Jr., 65, of West Lawn, passed away on Friday, April 17th, 2015, at the Reading Hospital. His wife of 40 years, Brenda Kay (Youtzy) McVaugh died February 11, 2014. Born in Reading on December 18, 1949, he was the son of Russell E. McVaugh Sr. and Mary (Davis) McVaugh, both of Mohnton. He was a 1969 graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Philadelphia. Russell worked in Digital Imaging at Worley-Parsons in Green Hills for 40 years. He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons: Tom E. McVaugh, Mark L. McVaugh and Paul F. McVaugh; a sister, Barbara Kurtz; and seven grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a son, John M. McVaugh in 1979. Services will be held on Sunday, April 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring, with Rev. Dr. Robert Sloan officiating. Interment at Robeson Cemetery, Plowville, Monday, April 20th, at 2:00 p.m. Friends are invited to call Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church. Medina, Pedro Albino - Reading  
Pedro Albino Medina, age 64, of Wernersville, passed away Thursday, April 16th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. Pedro was born in Caduas, Puerto Rico, on October 13, 1950, a son of the late Julia Albino and Pedro Medina. He was the husband of Iris Medina Cruz, who survives him. Messner, Jacob - Denver  
Jacob A. Messner, 93, of Douglassville, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Denver Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Mohnton to Wayne E. and Mary (Seifrit) Messner and was the husband of the late Edna I. (Shober) Messner, who passed away in 2012. He was a member of the Reamstown A.A., Adamstown Rod and Gun, Ephrata American Legion, Gouglersville Fire Co. and a life member of the Adamstown VFW. Jacob served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In the early years, Jacob worked for the Bollman Hat Co. for 40 years. He also worked for the Bridgestone/Firestone Rubber Co. in Pottstown for 15 years. Jacob is survived by 2 sons, Brent A., husband of Janet (Mehle) Messner of Sinking Spring and Kerry L., husband of Sandra (Hurst) Messner of Pottstown; 3 grandchildren: Timothy, Alecia and Adam; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Messner of Mohnton and James, husband of Susan Messner of Mohnton; and 2 sisters, Mary Ellen, wife of Robert Althouse of Mohnton, and Elizabeth Hornberger of Mount Vernon, OH. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Messner. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Milkins, Arlene (Kochel) - Temple  
Arlene R. Milkins, 92, of Tampa, FL, and formerly of Sinking Spring and Wernersville, PA, went to be with the Lord April 11, 2015. She was a patient in Melech Hospice House, since April 6, 2015, having previously resided with her daughter, Richelle. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward R. "Bob" Milkins who passed April 24, 1997. They were married December 24, 1942, having celebrated over 54 years together. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Elsie M. (Edinger) Kochel. Arlene is survived by three daughters: Richelle L. Angstadt, spouse of Patricia Balthaser, Tampa, FL; Laurel A., wife of Karl Neumuller, Mohnton, PA; and Doreen R., wife of Tom Coursey, Zephyrhills, FL; five grandchildren: Lori Angstadt, Eric and Kyle Neumuller, Shannon Catherman and Lisa Hill; three great-grandsons: Dylan Peters, Gavin Neumuller and Matthew J. Hill: two nephews, Michael and David Kochel; and sister-in-law, Clara Kochel. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Kochel. Arlene was employed as a secretary by the former Fleetwood Sportswear and lastly as the private secretary to the president of Berks-Tek, Inc., Cumru Township, until her retirement. In her younger years, she was very involved with Boy Scouts of America. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. in Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, with the Rev. Richard Moore, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Spies Cemetery, Alsace Township. A viewing will be held Friday, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., in the funeral home, and Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. John's Lutheran Church, 725 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Miller, Marian (Lutz) - Reading  
Marian L. Miller, 98, of Wernersville, formerly of Cumru Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015, in Phoebe Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Arthur D. Miller Jr., who passed away December 25, 2006. Born in Mohnton, she was the daughter of the late Luke A. and Estella (Leininger) Lutz. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Mohnton High School class of 1934 and attended Nursing School at Homeopathic Hospital, now Community General Hospital and McCann Business College. During her working years, she worked as a secretary at William G. Leininger Wyomissing Hosiery Mills and Caron International, where she was Administrative Assistant and Creative Expressions Director, retiring in 1983. Mrs. Miller was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mohnton, where she was a member of the choir and Kitchen Ministry. She loved the game of golf and was very active in numerous memberships, which included Reading Country Club, Galen Hall Country Club, Flying Hills Women's Golf Association, Central PA Golf Association and Women's Berks County Golf Association. Marian accomplished 2 holes in one in her golfing career. Survivors include a son, Arthur D. Miller III, husband of JoAnne Miller, Kissimmee, FL; two granddaughters, Amanda R. Lawrence, wife of Richard, Knoxville, TN; Megan E. Miller, Kissimmee and 2 great-grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Lawrence and Jake Arthur Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 1 W. Wyomissing Ave., Mohnton, PA 19540. A memorial service will be scheduled in the near future at Calvary UM Church, Mohnton and private inurnment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery. Miuccio, Philomena (Pavia) - Reading  
Philomena Theresa Miuccio, 88, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away April 10, 2015, in Berks Heim. Her husband, Albert Joseph Miuccio Sr., died in 2012. Born May 27, 1926, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Eugisto and Rosa (Fulco) Pavia. She was a seamstress for the Birdsboro Knitting Mill for many years. Philomena was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle R.C. Church, Shillington. She is survived by her son, Albert J. Jr., husband of Ann L. Miuccio, Hershey; and her two daughters, Joanne M. Miuccio, West Palm Beach, FL and Dorene R., wife of Daniel Reese, Cumru Township. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Madelon R. Miuccio and Nicholas R. Miuccio. She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Kostival. Her brother, John and sister, Philomena both died at an early age. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with burial to follow in the cemetery. Moyer, Anna (Matetich) - Reading  
Anna Mae (Matetich) Moyer, 78, of Birdsboro, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 13, 2015, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Clarence R. Moyer. Born in Reading on April 18, 1936, Anna was a daughter of the late John and Anna C. (Thomaszewski) Matetich. Anna enjoyed polka music. She liked crafts and was very skilled at crocheting, making Afghan blankets and creating dolls. She enjoyed going to Hillcrest bingo and traveling to the shore. In addition to her husband, Clarence, Anna is survived by two sons, Kevin Moyer and his wife, Beth, of Green Hills, and Craig Moyer of Green Hills; three daughters: Wanda McCalicher of Green Hills; Tina Raser and her husband, Gene Sr., of Green Hills; and Stacy Moyer and her fiancé, John Rodriquez of Reading; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by three brothers: Donald, George and Norbert "Buddy" Matetich and a sister, Virginia Andrews. A funeral service for Anna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015, in Auman's Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Anna will be laid to rest in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading. Moyer, Katherine (Coy) - Reading  
Katherine N. "Kate" Moyer, 61, of Spring Twp. and Reading, passed away Saturday, April 11th in the Reading Hospital where she had been a patient since March 30th. She was the wife of Dennis Michael Moyer. Born in Pineville, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Lola Mae (McDaniel) Coy. Kate had been employed as an RN at the former Community General Hospital in Reading where she was a charge nurse in the emergency room, last working on October 4, 1989. Previously she had worked as a nurse's aide at the former Leader Nursing Home in West Reading where she had received a scholarship to attend school to obtain her LPN degree. From 1977 to 1979 Kate owned the 7-11 convenience stores in Reading and in Pottstown. In the late 1970s to early 1980s she held a part-time position at Mike's Sandwich Shop in Reading and also worked and trained at Arby's and was the manager at the Arby's restaurant in Shillington. Kate along with her son and husband were the co-owners of Joey's Skateboard and Variety Shop in Reading. Kate was a 1988 Graduate of Reading Area Community College, where she earned her B.S. in Nursing. Previously she was a Graduate of the Reading-Muhlenberg Vo-Tech School where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing. She was a 1971 graduate of Coatesville High School. In addition to her husband, Kate is survived by 4 sons: Christopher, husband of Shannon (Gehret) Coy, of Myerstown; John Bennett of Reading; Jamie, husband of Kim (Leffler) Bennett, of Lebanon; and Joseph Coy, at home. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis James Moyer. There are 9 grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 brothers, David and Harold Coy; and 6 sisters: Shirl Oliver, Nina Miller, Nancy Mullen, Naoma Sturgill, Linda Coy and Sherry Devoe. Services will be Sunday, April 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Rev. Paul L. Jones, officiating.
