Quallio Sr., Richard - Reading  
Richard "Dick" L. Quallio Sr., 79, of Mohnton, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at home. He was the husband of Lynne (Breitenstein) Quallio. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Algero Quaglia and the late Bernice McConchie, and the step-son of the late Pauline Quaglia. He attended Shillington High School. He was a 3rd Class petty officer in the United States Navy in the Seabees. Dick was employed by Hahn Contracting as a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years and was an active member of the local 542 operating engineers since 1968. Dick was also the #4 modified stock car owner/driver known as the "Rapid Roman" from Mohnton, competing at the former Reading Fairgrounds, Penn National Speedway, Bridgeport, NJ Speedway and Syracuse, NY Speedway. In later years, he was a crew member of the Breitenstein Racing Team owned by his step-sons and their father, Rod Breitenstein. Dick was an avid golfer, bowler and hunter. He also loved to travel in his motor home. In his retirement years his contentment came at Steamboat Landing in Lewes, DE, fishing in the Delaware Bay. Mr. Quallio was a life member of the Mohnton and Gouglersville Fire Companies and a member of the Kenhorst Fire Company, Penwyn Motor Association, Clover Park AA and The Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Richard Quallio Jr., husband of Trina, FL; Jere Quallio, husband of Kim, AZ; daughter, Anita Rosario, wife of Joe, Kenhorst; step-children, Alicia Breitenstein Brightbill, Reading; Jason Breitenstein, husband of Lisa and their daughter, and the love of his life, Isabella Marie, Temple; Christian Breitenstein fiancé of Melissa Shustack and their daughter, Alison, Temple. Also surviving are grandchildren: Andrew Quallio, Selina Quallio, Miranda Quallio and their mother, Lt. Cmdr. Sharon Quallio, US Navy, FL. In addition, his brother, James Quaglia, husband of Susan, Reading; Rudy Quallio, husband of Carole, Montgomery, AL; and his Uncle Joe and Aunt Jo Quaglia, Shillington; many nieces and nephews; constant four-legged companions. Sunny and Buster; and a multitude of good friends and extended family. Mr. Quallio requests no flowers, please. Quinter, June (Homan) - Reading  
June B. Quinter, 87, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Rodney L. "Fudge" Quinter, who passed away January 9, 2004. Born in Mount Penn, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Moyer) Homan. June was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stony Creek. June worked as a pairer for the former Berkshire Knitting Mills and was in charge of the cafeterias in the Antietam School District for 32 years. She is survived by one son, Todd R. Quinter, husband of Sandra A. of Laureldale; four grandchildren: Erika, wife of Chris Bevins, Chad Quinter, Brandon Rubendall and Nicole Rubendall and one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Bevins. She was predeceased by her sisters: Pauline Homan, Barbara Herb and Shirley Berger. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 11:00-12:00 noon with services beginning at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Reber, Jane (Nein) - Reading  
Jane A. (Nein) Reber, 87, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the Mifflin Center. She was the widow of Robert C. Reber, who passed away November 14, 2014. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late David S. and Leah M. (Bieber) Nein. Jane was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School. She was a member of Trinity U.C.C., Mount Penn, and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles, and loved the Poconos. Jane was a clerk for the former Bell Telephone, now Verizon, for 30 years until retiring. She is survived by one son, Larry Bundens of Alsace Township; four grandchildren: Michael Bundens, Megan Banola, Brandon Bundens and Jeffrey Bundens; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Messner. She was predeceased by her sons, Dennis and Jeffrey Bundens, and her brother, David E. Nein. Rivera-Centeno, Jose - Reading  
Jose J. Rivera-Centeno, 40, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 5:36 p.m. in his residence. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Juan Rivera-Rios of Puerto Rico and Nilda Centeno of Reading. In addition to his parents, Jose is survived by his sister, Nilda J. Rivera of Reading and his brother, Juan Rivera Jr. of Reading. He is also survived by is half-brothers, Valentin Rivera and Carlos Juan Rivera, and his half-sister, Bianca Rivera. Jose is also survived by nieces, Marian and Jeannette, nephews: Hector, Jaime, Michael and Juan Junior; 9 great-nephews and nieces, several cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Robinson, Rhe (Mohler) - West Reading  
Rhe G. (Mohler) Robinson, 98, passed away April 8, 2015, in her Sinking Spring residence, where she lived in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dale Johnson, for the past thirteen years. Before that move, she lived in Lincoln Park for most of her adult life. She was the widow of James P. Robinson, who died February 11, 2000. Born in Denver, PA, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Elizabeth (Gerhart) Mohler. Rhe was a 1934 graduate of Denver High School, and in her youth was employed by the Berkshire Knitting Mills as a full fashion seamer. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn, PA. Rhe was an avid walker, usually taking her walks around Lincoln Park in the early morning. In her younger years, she "enjoyed" gardening with her husband and the constant "Hey Rhea" calls. She loved her pool time, and gathering with family and friends. One of Rhe's main priorities was taking care of her husband and family. She loved Yellow Roses, and in later life became quite the Checkers Player. She is survived by her daughters: Gerri Ann, wife of Ivy Berkis, Sinking Spring; Peggy Sue Robinson, Douglassville, and her financé, Ray Thomas; Patricia, wife of Dale Johnson, Sinking Spring; and her husband's daughter, Mary Catherine Hobgood, Eddyville, Kentucky. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren: granddaughters, Jennifer Leigh, wife of Jay R. Kemmerer, and Denise Ann, wife of David Lee Boyer; and grandson, Todd Allen Berkis and fiancée, Angie Stackhouse; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends and family may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Following services, interment will be at Indiantown Gap. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Veteran's Memorial Trust Fund, Bureau for Veteran Affairs, Bldg. Lois P. Royer, 89, of Robesonia, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 15th, 2015, at StoneRidge-Poplar Run in Myerstown. Her husband, George E. Royer, died in 1994. Born in Reading on September 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd S. and Edna (Mountz) Yoh. Lois was a graduate of Robesonia High School. She was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia. She is survived by a son, Rick L. Royer, Robesonia, and a sister-in-law, Geraldine I., widow of Kenneth C. Yoh, Robesonia. Services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia, with Rev. Rebecca Knox officiating. Interment will follow at Heidelberg Cemetery, Robesonia. Schmehl, Jack - Birdsboro  
Jack Milton Schmehl, 84, of Union Twp., Berks Co., Pa. passed away April 15, 2015, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Mary (Weiser) Doaty. He was the husband of Fern E. (Keller) Schmehl. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was a welder for 45 years for the former Birdsboro Steel Corp. He was also a member of the Birdsboro Sportsmen's Club, the Birdsboro Fire Co., Victor Emmanuel II and the Kulptown Fire Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: 2 sons, Robert G., husband of Melody A. Schmehl, Douglassville, Pa., and Donald L. Schmehl, fiancé of Barbara A. Schucker, Willard - Fleetwood  
Willard E. Schucker, age 86, of Kutztown, passed away on April 11, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Clara M. (Stein) Schucker. They had been married 62 years. Willard was born on September 6, 1928, on the family farm in Greenwich Township, the son of the late Oscar M. Schucker and Effie A. (Groff) Schucker. He was a graduate of Kutztown High School and a member of New Jerusalem Zion UCC in Krumsville. Willard was raised a farmer and was the owner/operator of the family farm. In retirement his hobby was going to public sales and taking the items he purchased to flea markets. Survived by his wife, Clara; and sisters, Vivian S. (Schucker), wife of Willard Angstadt of Mertztown; Shirley D. (Schucker), wife of Sherwood Krause of Orange Park, FL; and brother, Delano R. Schucker, husband of Sandra Schucker of Kempton. Other survivors include his five nephews; three nieces and his wife's four nieces and three nephews. A viewing will be Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Seiz, Catherine - Reading  
Catherine E. Seiz, 93, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015, in her residence. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary A. (Hill) Seiz. Catherine was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School in 1939 and was employed by Penn Optical in Reading as a bench hand for 39 years, before retiring. She is survived by her nephews: Donald, Raymond Jr. and Bruce Seiz and her niece, Patricia Pisano and multiple great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Robert, Raymond and Carl and her sisters, Helen Smith and Anna M. Seiz. She was also predeceased by three nephews and two nieces. Shillenn IV, William - Reading  
William F. Shillenn IV, 55, passed April 8, 2015, in Lancaster General Hospital, peacefully, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Ann M. (Gurtowski) Shillenn. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of Sandra (Livingston) Shillenn and the late William F. Shillenn III. Bill currently worked for Schlouch Inc., Blandon, as a truck driver. He is also survived by daughters: Rachael Shillenn, Sinking Spring; Jacqueline Shillenn, Reading; and Carolyn Mozo, Reading; step-son, Justin Hart, Shillington; sisters, Christina Fisher, Conshohocken; and Patricia Smith, Conshohocken; brothers, Michael Shillenn, Downingtown; and Joseph Shillenn, Coatesville; grandchildren: Xavious, Leilyn and Adelina Mozo, Georgia Martin, Nora Weaver and Zoey Hart. He was predeceased by his father, William F. Shillenn III and step-son, Taylor C. Hart. Bill was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 18th from 3 to 5 p.m. in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading.
