Albright Sr., Daniel - Shillington  
Daniel D. Albright Sr., 83, formerly of Berkshire Heights, died May 12, 2015, at 8:20 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he was a patient since Sunday. Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Gertrude Kayser. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Roberts) Albright, who died in 2002. He worked as a truck driver for Herbert Heffner, Leesport his entire working life, retiring in 2012. Daniel was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed Sprint car and Stock car racing at the former Reading Fairgrounds and Sprint car racing at Williams Grove. He is survived by 2 sons, David W., husband of Tammy L. Albright, Riverview Park and Daniel D. Albright Jr., husband of Katharine Albright, Orefield. There are also 5 grandchildren: Jared, Rachel, Ryan, Alicia and Kory Albright and 5 great-grandchildren: Ian, Makeda, Annika, Karter Albright and Mariah Concepcion. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jeb Albright. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Greenwich Twp. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington is assisting the Albright family.

Balsbaugh, Earl - Alexandria  
Earl E. Balsbaugh, 84, of Alexandria, died on January 18, 2015 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA. He is preceded in death by his children, Paul and Joseph Balsbaugh. He is survived by his children: James, Mark and Patrick Balsbaugh (Terri), and Susan Callahand; grandchildren: James Jr., Charles P., Crystal and Ian Balsbaugh; siblings, Ginny Engling and Wiley Balsbaugh. Earl was a longtime member of the Machinist Union. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, July 17, 2015, 2 p.m.

Barlet, Walter - Reading  
Walter A. Barlet, 84, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in St. Joseph Medical Center on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 11:58 p.m. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Norris) Barlet, who passed away November 7, 2009. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Walter A. Barlet Sr. and Jennie Amelia (Gaylor) Barlet. He attended Northwest Junior High School and was a Sales Clerk for Duron Paints for 43 years until his retirement. Mr. Barlet was a great father, grandpa, father-in-law, uncle and friend. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and enjoyed going to Hollywood Casino and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Steven A. Barlet, husband of Karen L. Barlet of Spring Township; and his granddaughters, Stephanie L. Barlet and Carolyn M. Belles. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Garman of Florida, several nieces and nephews and his grand dog, Mario. Mr. Barlet was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Barlet; sister, Jean Brumbach; brother, Robert Barlet; and cousin, Jack T. Gaylor. Funeral Services will be held in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Brydie L. Harris will officiate. Brayden Henry Bechtel, newborn son of Emma R. Schell and Justin P. Bechtel, of Kutztown, passed away Saturday evening, May 16, 2015, at Reading Hospital. Brayden is survived by his maternal grandmother, Rochell L. (Stromness) Moore, Womelsdorf; maternal grandfather, Dwight D. Schell, Oley; paternal grandparents, Gary A. and Diane K. (Peiffer) Bechtel, Kutztown; his aunts and uncles: Anna M. Schell, Mathieu M. Moore, Dominik A. Moore and Jillian M. Moore, all of Womelsdorf; Ashley Bechtel Cole, wife of Kiefer Cole, Schuylkill Haven; and Whitney L. Bechtel, New Ringgold, PA. Memorial Services for Brayden will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd., Fleetwood, PA with the Rev. Robert P. Bingaman Jr., 79, of Manhattan, NY, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, in his residence. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Robert P. Sr. and Elizabeth Gertrude (Rher) Bingaman. He was a United States Army Veteran. Robert was employed in the Finance Department of Universal Studios for many years until his retirement. Boyer, Suzanne (Meas) - Hamburg  
Suzanne R. Boyer, 69, of Tilden Township died May 18th in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township. She was born in Reading and was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Mogel) Meas. Suzanne was a 1963 graduate of Reading High School. She worked for 30 years for Eshelman Transportation as a school bus driver, last working January 2014. Suzanne was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading, and the Reading Hose Fire Company. Two sons, Carey Boyer Jr., Tilden Township, and Christopher Boyer, Reading, and one brother, Joseph Meas, Philadelphia, survive her. A memorial service will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA. Burkhart, William - Denver  
William Issac "Ike" Burkhart, 85, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Ephrata Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Brecknock Twp. to the late Elmer and Katie (Good) Burkhart and was the husband of Laura (Coldren) Burkhart, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. Ike was a member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, Denver. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, dart ball, building and remodeling, traveling and playing cards. He was a Cub Master in his earlier years. Ike's best buddy was Max the cat. Ike worked as a Housing Inspector, and formerly was a carpenter. He was a graduate of Mohnton High School class of 1947. In addition to his wife, Ike is survived by a daughter, Denise Burkhart of Ephrata, and sister, Kathryn Sensenig of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Burkhart. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by funeral services held at 2 p.m., with Pastor Schwabe-Fry, officiating. Interment will take place in the Muddy Creek Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions in Ike's memory may be made to Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, 11 South Muddy Creek Road, Denver, PA 17517. Carter, Nancy (Flanagan) - Reading  
Nancy P. Carter, 72, formerly of Shermans Dale, PA, passed away May 17, 2015, in the Phoebe Berks Health Care Center, Wernersville. Her husband, Clyde T. Carter, passed away April 2, 2014. Nancy was raised in Bergenfield, NJ, the only daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Francis) Flanagan. She was a 1964 graduate, summa cum laude, of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she earned degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry. In 1992, she completed her degree in Nursing and achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. In between degrees, she was a founding member of the Shermans Dale Ambulance Association and became locally known for her cake decorating business and weekly cooking column in the newspaper. She was also a longtime Committeewoman of the Perry County Republican Committee, while at the same time earning her private pilot's license. She loved to travel, and, with her husband, loved to fly their airplane. She is survived by two daughters, Andrea C. Rodgers, wife of John A. Parkins Jr. of Wilmington, DE; and Leianne N., wife of Peter Cobaugh of Sinking Spring. There are two sons, Grant T., husband of Dr. Debra Carter of Zionsville; and Daniel C. Carter of Tampa, FL. She was also the loving grandmother of Jack Rodgers III, Gabriel and Samantha Cobaugh and Nicholas, Christopher and Michael Carter. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gallman-Sonoski Funeral Home, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560. Burial will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 456 State Route 35, Red Bank, NJ. Friends may pay their condolences on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Chiralo, Mary (Gaul) - Reading  
Mary J. Chiralo, 89, of West Lawn, passed away on May 13, 2015, at her residence. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Annie (Daubert) Gaul. Mary and her husband, Anthony P. Chiralo, celebrated 68 years of marriage. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Reading, where she participated in sewing and quilting groups. She was an artist, and her talents extended into painting, needle point, hand crafts and photography. Mary was also a skilled seamstress and an amateur keyboard musician. She enjoyed traveling with her husband across the United States, Europe and Canada. She was predeceased by her son, Robert P. Chiralo, brother, Lewis Gaul and sister, Katherine Gaul. She is survived by her husband, Anthony P. (Phil) Chiralo, son, Joel A. Chiralo of Baltimore, MD and granddaughter, Jennifer M. Chiralo. A memorial service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 601 N.
