He met and married the true love of his life, Judith M. Roller and they recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. In the waning days of his life with Judy by his side, they shared their final expressions of love for each other, a lifelong love affair.
Dr. Wool graduated from Montclair High School in Montclair, NJ, and later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med from Albright College. Later, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1956. That lead to his enlistment in the United States Navy as a JG Lieutenant. His service in the Navy took him to California, and then the Pacific Theater in Adak, Alaska, and the Philippines. Upon his discharge, he returned to the University of Pennsylvania School of Orthodontics, finishing in 1960.
Once again returning to the Reading area, he began his orthodontic practice in 1960. Dr. Wool later founded two orthodontic supply companies, Wonder Wire and Modern Arch. He held many patents for orthodontic wires and tooling. He also had many articles published in Dental journals, as well as lecturing to orthodontic students at Temple University, University of Pennsylvania and Einstein.
He truly enjoyed the outdoors with his hobbies of skiing, sailing and fishing, and had an incredible lust for life and a tremendous affection for animals, especially all his precious pets over the years. Dr. Wool leaves behind a legacy as a brilliant man with a beautiful and loving wife, three beautiful and loving daughters, and will be sadly missed but forever remembered.
In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by his daughters, Kimberly A. Kelley, wife of William R. Kelley of Oley, Kathy S. Wolf, wife of Dr. Erwin H. Wolf II of Wyomissing, and Suzanne M. Wool, fiancé of Timothy Grant of Lower Heidelberg Township. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas L. Wool in 1981. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sean and Lindsay Hayes and Natalie and Abigail Wolf; great-grandchildren, Riley Arthur Collins and Jacob Henry Jodon; and stepgrandchildren, E.J. and Rob Wolf and Kim and Courtney Kelley.

What a great, classy gentleman Dr. Wool was. Such a wonderful family.
Was so sad to hear the news of Dr. Wool's passing, but I also experienced happy tears as I reflected on my childhood memories with the Wool's. Was sort of a big bro' to the girls since my younger sister and the Wool girls were nearly permanent fixtures in each other's homes.
My heartfelt condolences, Godspeed, and happy memories to Judy, and my one-time other lil' sisters, Kim, Kathy and Suzanne.
