Wow! I just heard of Dave's passing. I speak of our High School years all the time. For two summers I was basically a Speelhoffer. Dave and I worked summers with Mr. Speelhoffer doing whatever crap work his team did not want to do. But we learned a TON. Then another summer working with Dave and his Uncle at Camp Rainbow. I paid for my first car working there. We got to know each other through wrestling. Then we became quick friends. I visited him once when I was back from the Navy. He was working his business and growing his family. As I mentioned, we were true High School friends, but you always knew Dave was going to be a great Man. I miss him and his Dad. Mr. Speelhoofer knew how to raise a son. No nonsense or fluff. Just true determination and caring. Heaven is a better place with them there.

I just learned about Dave's passing, my heart goes out to his family and friends for your loss. Dave was such a giving, warm, kind hearted person, I'm so sorry to hear he is no longer with us. An extremely hard worker -- I knew him through work mostly but his friendship and willingness to take on projects for many of my family members will always stick in my mind. My thoughts and prayers go out to the many people whose lives he touched. A wonderful man who I am so lucky to have met.

Soo sorry and saddened to hear about Dave's passing. Many great memories going to school with Dave in Boyertown. I am praying for everyone that he left behind and may God fill the void of Dave's departure with God's presence and peace. He had such a great gift at building and was one of the best carpenters that I had ever worked with. "O death where is thy sting, O grave where is thy victory" 1 Corinthians 15:55

My heartfelt condolences to all of David Dean's loved ones. I have such wonderful memories of him when he visited my family, after Pat passed away. As an adult, I had the pleasure of getting to know him when he visited us in the late 1980's. He was a wonderful man, and will be missed. Sending prayers your way.
