He was the husband of Nancy (Huff) Bampton. Born in Reading, Pa., he was the son of Calvin J. Bampton and Thelma E. (Orr) Bampton.
Calvin was a veteran serving with the Marines and Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a graduate of Reading High School and obtained an Associates Degree from Dayton University
in accounting.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church,
Reading. He also was a member of Isaac Hiester Lodge#660 F&AM, Rajah Shrine and Rajah Shrine Yacht Club.
Calvin owned and operated Callowhill Nursery School and Kindergarten, Reading.
He is also survived by: son, Calvin J. Bampton II;
daughter, Stephanie D. Bampton; grandchildren, Kirsten Bortz, Casey Bampton, C.J. Bampton III, Christian Bampton, Kelly Bampton, Lindsey Souer and Christopher Smith; great-grandchildren: Owen, Aiden, Travis, Elise and Ryan.
He is also survived by a brother, Dennis Bampton.
Funeral and Masonic Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St.,
Reading. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge
of arrangements.

So sorry to read that Cal has moved on. I will miss his friendly neighborly chats and seeing him on his White Van Patrol duties!

So sad to hear this news. Cal will be missed. He was a wonderful neighbor and I will miss his warm smile, wave and "toot" of his horn to say "hello".
