Gregory Geiger

Gregory R. Geiger, 59, of Centre Ave., Reading, died Thursday, May 16th at 2:02 a.m. in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center, after being admitted on Monday.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Georgine L. (Simmon) Geiger of Reading and the late Richard H.


Greg was the Vice President of the Cramp Funeral Home of Reading with his mother Georgine, where he was employed since the death of his father, funeral director Richard H. Geiger.

Greg was a graduate of Reading High School, and attended Northampton County Area Community College Funeral Service

Education Program. He was a member of Holy Spirit

Lutheran Church of Reading.

He was a member of the 14th Ward Republican Club of Reading and on the Board of Laureldale Cemetery of Reading. Greg was a member of Fish Pond West of Wyomissing as well as a Chairman of the Reading Stadium Commission. He was also a former member of the Reading Country Club and the Berkleigh Country Club.

Greg has played golf at the Reading Masters at Reading Country Club in 1995 and the PGA Tournament in 1994. He received 1st place Flight in the Reading Fire Fighters Gold Tournament in 2007.

Greg will always be known for being a friendly and helpful man who always enjoyed people with his

enthusiastic spirit.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Georgine L. Geiger of Reading, is his companion he was engaged to, Laurie A. Moyer, with whom he resided. Also surviving are several cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. from the Cramp Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, the Rev. Robert C. Aregood officiating. Entombment will be in Charles Evans Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 421 Windsor Street, Reading, PA. 19601.
