Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Olga (Rudniczka) Flaga.
She was a 1942 graduate of Phoenixville High School. Mrs. Berlin worked as the manager for the Ferd Heck Florist in Reading from the mid-1950s to the mid- to late-1960s. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in West Reading. She was an accomplished violinist and enjoyed playing the piano and oil painting.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Mrs. Berlin is survived by one son, Bernard B., husband of Brenda (Corvaia) Keeney, of Spring Township; one sister, Sophia Pennypacker, wife of the late Howard Pennypacker, of Florida; one granddaughter, Janet L. Romanski; and one great-granddaughter, Tiffany L. Romanski, both of Exeter Township. Mrs. Berlin was predeceased by one daughter, Dorothy L. Keeney, one sister, Mary Kennedy, and one brother, Peter Flaga.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 12:30p.m. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12-12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
