Carl R. Reigle, age
81 years, of Reading, passed away Thursday, June 20th,
at his residence.
Carl was born in Potts
ville on May 24, 1932, a son of the late Lillian A. (Clay) and Raymond D. Reigle, and was the widower of Joan P. (McCallum) Reigle, who passed away October 23, 2006.
He was a member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Carl served in the Army during the Korean War, and later was employed as an inspector at Firestone Tire, Pottstown for 25 years, retiring in 1979.
He is survived by his son, Carl B. Reigle of Reading; daughter, Suzanne M. Hoffa (Reigle), of Reading; daughter, Patricia A., wife of Michael Pursel, of Reading; daughter, Marianne K., wife of Mark Jurney, of Raleigh, NC; and son-in-law, Robert Capone, of Reading.
He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joanne P. Reigle-Capone, who passed on August 21, 2008; brother, Robert B. Reigle, who passed in 1980, and a grandson, Aiden Kopcik, who died in June of 2008.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home and Wednesday morning from 9-10 a.m. at St. Margaret's RC Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Mass will be web broadcast on our website at the address shown below. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
