Dallas Edward Bieber, 78, passed away peacefully in his Oley residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was the widower of Mary A. (Alloway) Bieber, to whom he was married for 59 years.

Born March 9, 1940, in Yellow House, he was a son of the late Edward Nicholas and Merle Jean (Fisher) Bieber.

Dallas was a 1958 graduate of Oley Valley High School. He was employed with Brown Trailers, Boyertown Packaging and Firestone before his career at Glidden I.C.C., where he worked as a master mechanic 25 years, retiring in 2000.

A true outdoorsman, Dallas loved archery and trap

shooting, enjoyed hunting and fishing and crafting.

A member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Oley, he was also a member of Pikeville Sportsman Association, Pottsgrove Rod & Gun Club and Boyertown Rod & Gun Club. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #377.

A loving husband and father, he is survived by his two sons, Thomas E., husband of Paula, of Manheim, and

Timothy A., husband of Deborah, of York.

Also surviving are his siblings, Linda J., wife of Warren Moser, of Gilbertsville, and Joan F. Shaner, of Frederick; and his sister-in-law, Ella Bieber, of Lake Mary, Fla.

Dallas was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel F. Bieber.

There are also four grandchildren: Julie, Amanda, Eric and Alison.

A memorial service with Masonic services will be held Saturday, July 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Frieden's U.C.C., 337 Main Street, Oley. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
