Dawn, Jeff, ("Mr. Zackon") was my teacher in elementary school at Gwyn-Nor. He also got my brother and I into wrestling and coached us at the YMCA program. He was a great teacher, coach, and person.
I saw Jeff's obituary on the North Penn High School Class of 1981 Memorial Page on Facebook and wanted to offer my thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Dear Dawn,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family .
I taught with Jeff at Gwyn-Nor Elementary School in North Wales and we had a dynamic fifth grade team....mainly because of Jeff's enthusiasm, youth, and great sense of humor.
I am stunned by the news of his passing.
There are so many great memories I have of Jeff and working with him. Most of all I would have to say his smile and sense of humor will be foremost in my memories of him..
My caring thoughts go out to all of you at this very sad time.

Dawn and Family- No words can express my how sorry I am for the loss of Jeffrey. I am grateful to have spent the short time I did with him on the trip to Europe. I could see how much the two of you truly loved one another. I keep going back to the stories you both shared about your times together...all the proms and of the many trips together with the school. May all those memories of your life and love together get you through. I may not have known him long, but in that short time, I learned how much he loved you and your children. I also learned how important education, the Oley School District and the children in the school district meant to him. I hope his passion for education is carried on in his memory and you can all find comfort in each other and knowing that Jeffrey loved you and he lived life....

You could always count on Dr. Zackon during the Oley Fair to help at the soda stand. We shared many good times over the past 22 years while I supervised the stand during the Oley Fair. He was also a HUGE help in my education. Although his time in this life has come to an end, him memory and legacy will live on in the Oley Valley.

Our deepest condolances go out to all of Dr. Zackon's family in this time of deep sorrow. He will be greatly missed by all in the "valley". It was a comfort to know that our school district was in the hands of one of it's own. He knew and cared for the people of the valley and understood where roots come from. He always had a smile for you when he saw you out and about. He was a class act. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. God Bless him and his family.

Dr. Zackon was a truely caring and inspirational man. If it were not for him, I wouldn't have had the future that I did. I am honored to have had him as a principle and a leader. I have never met another educator who truely cared for his students, staff and education as he did. I hope your family takes comfort in knowing what a wonderful man he was and how many people's lives he has touched. My deepest sympathy is with your family.

To the Family of Dr. Jeffrey Zackon,
I express my sincere personal condolence to all of you in your great loss. I was deeply saddened to learn about Jeffrey's passing, from my brother Mark. Jeff and I graduated together from Oley High in 1966 and enjoyed many scouting experiences during our younger years together in the Oley Boy Scout Troop. What I remember most about Jeff was his faithfulness in our friendship and his desire to do his best in what ever he put his hand to. Without a doubt a man of integrity, who will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to journey with him in this life. May the words of the Apostle Paul encourage your hearts and comfort you in your grief. " Absent from the body present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8
With much appreciation for Jeff,
Rev. Jim LInk
