Lawrence F. Roehm, 75 years old, of

Gibraltar, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Suzann (Freese) Roehm, in 2015; and

his sister, Susan L. Roehm.

Born in Lancaster, Pa., on October 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Frank F. Roehm and Helen (Hoffecker) Roehm.

Larry was a graduate of John Piersol McCaskey High School in Lancaster, class of 1960. He entered into the Navy after

graduating high school. While in the Navy, he served as a Communication Tech CT 2nd Class Petty Officer, M-Branch Maintenance. Through this experience he gained confidence to fix almost anything

presented to him. He was in the service from 1960 to 1964, with tours of duty in Okinawa and the Philippines.

After the Navy Larry returned to Pennsylvania and worked for Monroe Systems for Business which was

eventually bought by Ricoh-USA. Larry never left his job and essentially worked for the same company for the past 53 years. He was still working full time and also on-call for the company at the time of his death.

He had a zeal for unconventional problem solving. For instance, if a part did not arrive in time he was known to go home and try to fabricate one that would fit. Larry is also known for his incredible quick wit, sense of humor, telling funny stories and for his clever puns! Because of these characteristics he was known by co-workers and customers as the "MacGyver" of the company.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Karen L. (Roehm) Abraham, wife of Russell E. Abraham, of Shillington; his son, Steven L. Roehm, husband of Kelly L. (Demko) Roehm, of Mohnton; and four grandchildren: Trinity

Abraham and Noah, Aniya, and Grayson Roehm. He also is survived by cousin Christopher Conybeare and wife

Kathryn Braun, of Honolulu; and cousin Lynne Conybeare and husband Jim Benson, of New York City.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 15, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Ft. Indiantown Gap National
