Born in Brecknock Twp., Berks Co., she was a daughter of the late Stanley E. and Rosie May (Griffith) Horning.
She retired from the former Mrs. Smith's Frozen Food Company in Morgantown.
Lily was a member of the Allegheny Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Brecknock Twp. Fire Company, where she was a 50-year trustee of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, gardening and baking. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and at the Mifflin Health Center.
Surviving is a brother, John H., husband of Sandra Horning of Bowmansville, PA. She was also survived by seven nephews and five nieces.
She was predeceased by siblings: Catherine Schlouch, Mary Musser, Sara Jane Ebersole and Alton Horning.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at
Allegheny Evangelical
Lutheran Church, 1327 Alleghenyville Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in Allegheny Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Brecknock Twp., Fire Company, 1153 Kurtz Mill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.

Lily was a wonderful woman. She may have been set in her ways, but she was always there to help out with Social Events at the Fire Company and the Suppers at the Church. I always enjoyed working along side with her. I would always enjoy hearing her talk dutch with my Grand Parents and my Dad.
