Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Richard L. Hoffmaster, Sr. and Fern S. (MacLatchie) Hoffmaster.
He was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, and a former member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Reading.
Surviving are his loving wife, Julia; a brother, Richard L. Hoffmaster, Jr. and wife, Judy; a nephew, Brian and family; a son, Michael and family; a son, Eric and family; and a daughter, Crystal and family.
Funeral services will be held at his church in Chambersburg followed by interment in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ron was a sweet man, always made you smile and laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him. Julie, I am thinking of you and so sorry for your loss. I know you and Ron adored each other. Cherish the memories. May time ease your pain and sorrow.

Ronnie was my cousin. I have fond memories of all the family picnics around the city on holidays, the whole extended family was there. My sympathies to the Julia and the kids.

Ron was a very dedicated person, the members and friends at the Cumberland valley model railroad club will miss him not being around. He was an asset to our club.
