He was the husband of Nancy L. (Cross) Hobbs.
Born in Exeter, New Hampshire, on July 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Howard and E. Irene (Gayvert) Hobbs.
Mr. Hobbs was employed as a manager by Dempsey's Restaurant for 15 years and later worked in the Food Service Department of Kutztown University for 14 years retiring in 2005.
He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, and loved drum-and-bugle competitions and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Greg L. Boardman, husband of Jennifer of Mohnton and Eric L. Boardman, husband of Janet L. of Shillington; three grandchildren: Molly, Hayley and Elena; and a brother, Gordon Hobbs of Fredonia, NY.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sigourney Hobbs.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 745 Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
