Elinor E. Giles, 84, of Laureldale, died

September 8, 2018, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.

She was the wife of Phillip J. Giles to whom she was married June 22, 1957. Born in Nottingham, England, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Elsie (Lomas) Ford.

Elinor graduated from school in Nottingham, England, in 1946. She was employed as a secretary with Wing Heath & Co., Nottingham, England, for several years.

Elinor was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her daughter, Julia R. (Giles), wife of Albert Guigley, of Wyomissing. Also surviving is her sister, C. Norma (Ford) Loweth, of Ketton, Rutland, England. Other survivors include her three

grandsons: Devin, Cullen and Ethan.

Elinor was preceded in death by an infant daughter,

Allison Margaret, in 1960; by her son, Stephen P. Giles, who died December 25, 2016; and by her siblings: Lionel T. Ford, John Ford and Barbara Jephson.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.
