Basilia Rojas November 27, 1932 - October 28, 2013 She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Primitivo Rojas; three sons, Roberto (Yuki), Raul (Renee), and Tivo (Ann); and five grandchildren. Basilia was completely dedicated to loving her family, creating community, and giving to friends and strangers. There was no stranger to Basilia, after several minutes she would become a friend. She will always be remembered for her optimism, her faith in God and her love of all people. She was a timeless community builder and always took the side of justice for others. She was the greatest of cooks, and had legendary sopitos. She crocheted endlessly, and was an artist of life. She was also a wondrous story teller and talker. We will miss her jokes, stories, and hot spicy and amazing chili. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Monday, November 4, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, at St. Peters Catholic Church. Basilia will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lakeport. Madrina, you will forever be in my heart and memories. I'm thankful that I was able to visit with you and my padrino couple of years ago. You were exactly the same as I remembered you.
