Sandra Hill Obituary

Sandra Haywood Hill Sandra Haywood Hill went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 27, 2013, after a very short battle with cancer. Sandra was born on November 10, 1943, to parents, Lonnie L. Haywood and Eva D. Haywood, in Healdsburg, CA. She had a brother, Lonnie L. Haywood Jr., and a sister, Susan Stokes. A graduate of Healdsburg High School, she also attended Santa Rosa Jr. College. Devoted wife of Wayne H. Hill, they were married 50 years on November 22, 2013, and just renewed their vows at the same chapel with the original pastor in Reno, NV, that had married them 50 years ago. Adoring mother of two daughters, Shannon Bannon-Bolin in Fort Worth, TX, and Janelle E. James in Brookings, OR. She leaves seven grandchildren, Noah, Jordyn and Hannah in OR, and Ryan, Brayden, Christian and Madison in TX. Sandra had many interests including RV travel and camping throughout the US, Canada and Mexico, showing her daughters many cultures and experiences. She enjoyed bee keeping in Tucson, AZ and rock and gem collecting throughout AZ, NM, and CA, and fossils in TX. An avid gardener, each year she planted and tended beautiful flowers, roses and vegetables at her homes in Novato, Tucson, Gilroy and, for the last 20 years, Clearlake Oaks, CA. Sandra was a devout Christian who loved all of her family, friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her husband, Wayne of 50 years and Texas daughter, Shannon. Sandra never met a stranger. Sandra requested no services and was privately interred at Lower Lake Cemetery, Lake County, on July 3, 2013. Any donations will be greatly appreciated by Lake County Hospice. Sandra, my dear friend, I will miss you always. You were the greatest neighbor and the funniest person I have ever known. You made me laugh so much, even when you were telling me my sponge was filthy. You were "hostess deluxe", a wonderful cook, and kept such a beautiful home.
I envied your craftiness and will always treasure my "crows" (to help keep the birds out of the cherry tree). I will treasure all of the many things you gave to me, most of all, your friendship.
Dear Wayne and Shannon and Janelle and all the grandkids: I know you will miss her all the days of your lives. May God be with you and help you through your sorrow. She went so fast all of our heads are spinning, but, she is out of pain and in Gods arms now. R.I.P. my sweet friend......
The picture is on the day that Wayne and Sandra were wed again on their 50th anniversary Nov. 22, 2012, by the same preacher as their original wedding, Pastor Flint, Reno, NV.
