Dr. Jensen was truly a pathfinder in the foggy haze of multicultural egalitarianism. He took what was an ideological and flawed argument that all humans are fundamentally equal in all aspects of existence, and showed how intelligence did not fit that pattern. His books were scholarly sound and devoid of personal bias. He set the bar very high indeed for psychometricians of the future. He will be missed but remembered with affection and respect.

He inspired me to pursue intelligence research.
He was brave as any scientist of integrity ought to be. The knowledge base he created will live on.

He was a man of world class intelligence, ironic at it is, and honesty beyond any doubts in my mind. I know 'up close and personal' as his wife was my mother. He also was a wonderful cook and chess 'master'...I won a game out of many but perhaps he let me do so back in 1962. What I remember most about him was his ability to talk about the same subject to lay folks and his peers...different words but the same message.

Dr. Jensen was a lodestar, appearing first as a curious, contradictory figure during my undergraduate days at Berkeley, then a bold soul who with the courage to openly challenge the pious orthodoxies of the progressives. When, late in life, I pursued an advanced degree in statistics, I came to appreciate what an amazing scholar it was who possessed these human virtues. You will be missed. Though I can hope your example will call others to fill your shoes, they have not yet come to my attention. Farewell.

I remember Arthur Jensen and his wife Barbara as great Souls and magnificent scientists. I spent almost a year doing research in Northern Illinois on RT in both White and Black elementary school students in Elgin Il.

I think I had more respect for Jensen than for any other person alive. Stories of his honor, integrity, and objectivity were profoundly influential and inspiring to me.

The family should know how many lives he has changed with his research. Even though I never met him I am sad to see him go.

Many years ago when I first met Art Jensen at a conference, he was sitting outside in the sun entertaining a group of fellow scientist conjuring tricks under much laughter. This happy picture did not at all harmonize with what my colleagues first told me about him. The more I got to know him the more he unfolded as an eminent and serious scientist, sturdy in the storms so common in psychometrics nowadays, and always open to alternative interpretations if solid data proved him wrong. This, however, rarely happened during his long, distinguished, and highly productive career. He made a lasting impact on all interested in intelligence, and his friends and colleagues will miss him much. Today our sympathy goes to the family members he left behind.

Dr. Jensen was such an enormous contributor to the field human intelligence, yet was very generous with his time to talk with, and help, such nascent scholars as myself. I am forever indebted.

I first learned about his work
in about 1970 in remote Hungary, even received his epoch majing HER paper by then. I think his challenging mind will be missed by us all.

I learned much from Arthur Jensen's work and so did many of my students. I will always be indebted to him for making my career much more interesting and fruitful than it might otherwise have been. He was also an inspiration for those who value scientific clarity and academic integrity.

Arthur Jensen's death is a great loss, but he had a very long and prolific career and his publications will continue to guide research on human intelligence for years to come.
