Betty Jean Dumolt Betty Jean Dumolt, Jan. 11, 1928. Passed from this world 19 days after her 85thbirthday. Her first seven years were spent at the Washington Children's Home Society. After graduation from high school Betty started her career path working for Chevron. Met a cute sailor, got married and moved to California where she started a family and ran a sporting goods store at Burney Falls. Later Betty went to work for the District Attorney's office in Oroville and Lake County in the elder abuse dept. Betty enjoyed many years in Lake Tahoe and traveling to foreign places, she also was the winner of the Big Spin in 2003. Betty's most important thing in life was her five children. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin and two sons, Ronald and Bobby Smith.Survived by three children; Thomas Smith of Hilo, HI, Susan Fitzgerald of San Carlos and James Smith of Kelseyville, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
