Obituary Condolences

Doris Anderson October 25, 1955 - January 31, 2013 Doris passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31, 2013, in Santa Rosa, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was cut short suddenly after 57 years due to complication from pneumonia and leukemia. Doris leaves behind her loving husband, Steve Anderson of Lakeport; mother, Addie Herbert of Novato; daughter, Laura Howard of Elko, Nevada; son, Cody Tice of Sacramento; four grand-sons, Marcus and Mason White, Joshua and Nathan Tice; two sisters, Diane Parente of San Anselmo and Snookie Dennis of Novato; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris will be deeply missed by her friends and family. She was eternally enthusiastic, energetic, kind, compassionate, loving and always with a warm smile and great sense of humor. Doris owned and operated several gift stores in Lake County, probably best known was The Golden Pear in Kelseyville. Doris loved nature, animals, gardening and the outdoors. Relaxation for Doris was listening to the birds sing while enjoying the warmth of a spring day or the sound of rain on the roof. She welcomed others into her home, always offering the gift of hospitality, entertaining friends and family and offering so much love to her children and grandchildren. She absolutely adored her husband and family. We miss you sweetheart and we will see you again when the Lord comes to gather his children. There will be a memorial service for Doris at 12 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Upper Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church, 699 Second St., Upper Lake (across from the U.L. High School). Please share your memories by signing the guestbook at www.legacy.com.
