Dr. Peter John Quartarolo July 17, 1951 - April 9, 2018 Dr. Peter John Quartarolo was born to Peter and Madalin Quartarolo in New York. His family soon moved to Southern California where he grew up. When he was 19, he married the love of his life, Cherie. He completed his college education and received his doctorate in Chiropractic. Peter and Cherie moved their three young children to Lake County, California in 1979. He opened his chiropractic office on Main Street in Lakeport and continued his practice at that location for 39 years until complications of cancer prevented his return. He truly adored caring for his patients and never wanted to retire. Peter was very involved in his community. He volunteered as an EMT11 with Kelseyville Fire Department. He served on countless community boards, most notably serving as a Kelseyville Unified School District Board Trustee for 26 years. He was a member of Lakeport Kiwanis and a Past Master of Hartley Masonic Lodge. Peter is survived by his loving mother, Madalin Crowson; his wife and soulmate of 47 years, Cherie Quartarolo; cherished children, Peter (Andrea) Quartarolo Jr., Christine (William) Atwood, and Tony (Maria) Quartarolo; sisters, Lynne Quartarolo and Diane Quartarolo; precious and adored grandchildren, Adam, Dominic, Julianna, Henry, and Adriana; and beloved mother-in-law, Jeanette Sheehan. Predeceased by his father, Peter Quartarolo; father-in-law, Frank Sheehan; and godparents, Frank Luciana and Teddy Luciana. Because of Peter's passion for children and education, donations can be made to the Kelseyville High School Music Program. Make checks to Kelseyville Unified School District, 4410 Konocti Road, Kelseyville, CA 95451 with notation of "Kelseyville High School Music Program." Rosary Service at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary Wednesday, April 18 at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church on Thursday, April 19, at Noon, with Interment to follow at Kelseyville Cemetery. Saw this (reminder) today...I think of you both, and have Not been back to Lake County since Summer, 2015. The week I came in and saw you both last. Cherish, just know I can't think of comming back to visit, or think of Lake County, without seeing you. I have No idea where you are now. I just want you to know I think of you often and hope you and your children and grandchildren are well!!! It's been a challenging time for All. Cherie and Family, I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Q. He was the best chiropractor and one of the kindest people Cliff and I have ever known. We will miss him terribly! I want to start by saying how saddened we are about this.
Peter was a great man,and healer,on many occasions when I would walk in his office and couldn't hardly move.
We would talk a bit,then he would say "lay down,I'll fix you up.
Marcia and myself just found out from family of his passing.
He referred me to the surgeon who fixed my shoulder,to later be off medication for that...Peter was a awesome man,teacher,and child advocate.we will miss you great smile,and your gentle touch.

I just learned of Peter's passing and was both shocked and saddened at the news. A profound loss to his family, the entire community that he served so long and so well, and to each of us who considered him a personal friend. Rest in peace, Peter. You will be missed.

Dear Cherie and Family, so heartbroken! You and Peter always made time for me anytime I was back visiting and needed an adjustment after that long drive out from Wyoming. He was my Chiropractor for years, before I moved away. I missed having you as my Clients as well as being one of your loyal clients, as well. You were and are dear friends of mine and always felt treated very special and Always loved by you both. We looked forward to seeing your familiar, smiling faces. Last time I was in, he had just discovered the Cancer. He shared his Brag Book of your Grandkids and was so proud! He managed to treat me and send me out of yr office much better than I was when I came in. Just know I cherish those visits and appreciate you both, very much. We send our Love and Prayers from Wyoming.

My sympathies to all the family. Peter was an example for us all: A leader in the community, a great parent, a caring doctor, a generous donor and volunteer. He will be missed, but he leaves a legacy in his children and grandchildren and the community he served. I hope your memories bring the family comfort in this time of loss.

Very saddened to read that Dr. Quartarolo has gone to heaven. He was our DC for many years after on the recommendation of an orthopedic surgeon; he was greatly respected! He was also one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met since I moved here in 2000. My deepest sympathies are extended to his lovely wife Cherie and their children and grandchildren. Lake County has released one of it's greatest stars.

Pete was a very kind, giving man. He loved with all of his heart. My prayers for all of the family. The closeness of your family probably means this is not something you will get over but in honoing him, you learn to live with. I understand the hole this has made in your heart and I am so sorry for you. The great news is he is now free of pain and will be waiting to welcome you all to our forever home when that day comes. I pray for God to give you the comfort, peace and love that you need during this tough path you are on. Please listen for Gods comforting voice and feel his arms holding you.
