Robert "Bob" William Dexter Robert "Bob" William Dexter, born December 31, 1935, passed peacefully July 21, 2014, at the age of 78 after an extended illness. Bob was born in San Francisco and was the only child of Clarence and Isabelle Dexter. He resided in Kelseyville, CA, for the last thirteen years. After his service in the Army, Bob earned a Bachelor degree in science from Sacramento State University and his Master of Social Work degree from San Francisco University. He spent forty years as a social worker in child welfare services and as a supervisor in adoptions in the counties of Madera, Solano and Contra Costa. During his employment he earned the prestigious child abuse prevention award. Bob married Carolyn Wallis Irvine April 27, 1985, in Pleasant Hill, CA. They have three children, Shelley Thurman, Christy Latson, and Eric Dexter. After retirement Bob enjoyed gardening, traveling and playing with his ten grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 N. High St., Lakeport, CA.
