George Adlin Obituary
Born September 13, 1922 in Los Angeles to Danny and Rose Adlin, Russian immigrants who worked as custom tailors for Lou Costello of Abbott and Costello fame.
George often reflected on his youth, sneaking into U.S.C. football games and commercial fishing off Catalina Island. As a cook in the Coast Guard his final assignment took him to Tokoyo Bay for the signing to end World War II.
A survivor of polio in the mid 50's, George built a successful business career in the East Bay area and traveled the world. His love of fishing on Clearlake made the area his logical choice for retirement in 1979.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Rose Adlin, his sister Mildred and her daughter Stevie.
The "Captain" will be remembered by his loving wife, Alene, his grandson, Dane - his "best fishing buddy", his immediate and extended family and friends.
