Lucette Brenton, 86, passed peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2012 after a short bout with cancer.
She immigrated here from France as a war bride of Charles Brenton. They were married for 62 years before he preceded her in death.
They originally settled in Oregon then the Bay Area where she worked as an engineer's assistant at Varian Brothers. They built Kelsey Creek Mobile Home Park and finally retired. She loved cooking, gardening, knitting and spoiling her nine grandchildren. In December she moved to Live Oak to be closer to her eldest sons, William and Wesley. There along with their families she was cared for by Bill's wife, Vasilica Brenton until the end.
She is survived by five children, William (Vasilica) Brenton, Wesley (Deena) Brenton, Nancy (Jeff) Knight, Eva (Randy) Scott and Bob Brenton. The loves of her life were nine grandchildren, Zachary Shaver, Todd Brenton, Anastacia Shaver, Christopher Brenton, Leighanne Blackburn, Rachael Brenton, Sebastian Brenton, Ashley and Adam Brenton and five great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Kelseyville Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., today, Friday February 24, 2012.
