George Sanders Obituary

George Dillon Sanders, age 79, born Aug. 18, 1925, passed away on Nov. 2, 2004, at El Camino Hospital in Santa Clara, after a lengthy illness.

George was a Lake County resident for 25 years, where he served his community in the field of chemical dependency and recovery. Most recently, he served as the executive director of Transition Place Community.

George was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy until 1947. George was educated in Washington D.C. and later earned a Doctorate in Divinity from Washington State. George was also a certified hypnotherapist.

George leaves behind many friends and acquaintances that will miss him.

A private cremation was held in San Jose and a memorial will be held in the New Year.

In lieu of cards or flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
