Volo, Angelina - Meriden (The Record-Journal)  
MERIDEN - Angelina Volo, 89, beloved wife of the late Nicodemo Volo, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mammola, Italy on May 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Elizabeth Carabetta. Upon arriving to Meriden from Italy in 1956, Angelina worked as a seamstress for several years. She loved cooking for her family, enjoyed gardening, playing cards but most of all, spending time with her loved ones. Angelina especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by a daughter, Rosalie Volo, two sons, Anthony Volo and his wife, Maria and Giovanni Volo; her grandchildren, Mellisa Volo Dow and her husband, Matthew Dow, Daniela Volo Nunes and her husband, Joseph, Nicholas Volo, Anthony Volo and Marisa Volo; great-grandchildren, Maddox Dow, Gianna Volo, Niko Volo and Joseph Nunes; and her brother, Nicholas Carabetta. She was predeceased by two sisters, Assunta Commisso and Rose Femia. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., in Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at Our Lady of Mt.
