Gagne, Diane (Gallo) (In Memoriam) (The Record-Journal)
Diane Gallo Gagne March 9, 1953 to December 20, 2013 We little knew that morning That God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you You did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home. You left us precious memories Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one The Chain will link again. We love and miss you everyday! Love, Richie, Laurie, Joann,Ronnie and our families

Leaman, Edith (Beach) - Wallingford (The Record-Journal)
WALLINGFORD - Mrs. Edith Leaman, of Wallingford, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Skyview Center. She was the widow of Robert "Bob" Leaman; the mother of the late Walter H. Leaman; the mother-in-law of Mary Lou Ryan Leaman; the grandmother of Nancy L. Leaman; and a very active parishioner in her church, Yalesville United Methodist. She had many wonderful and faithful friends there. Edith was the daughter of the late Walter and Edith Bland Beach and is predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Copperthite and Dorthy Piergrossi. She is survived by two sisters, Marion "Betty" Clark, of East Haven; and Joan Mitchell, of Florida. Several loving nieces and nephews made sure she always had dark chocolate - her favorite - on hand during her long illness, and were there to let her know how loved she was. Her dear, longtime friend, Abby Marks Beale, has been a blessing, not just in Edie's last days, but since they met as neighbors over 20 years ago. Edith was a skilled homemaker; an excellent seamstress who made curtains, clothes, quilts, and blankets; and a cook who enjoyed spending hours in her kitchen preparing delicious meals and desserts. She hand-crafted many Christmas ornaments, which she gave to family, friends, and to the church for its Christmas fair. The Leaman home was always graced with one or two beloved cats, and the yard's birds and squirrels were always well-fed. Edith and Bob also loved traveling, and had a passion for historical buildings, museums, good restaurants, and making friends everywhere they went. Their all-time favorite place to visit was Vermont. As much as we will all miss Edith, we can have faith that her great faith earned her a place among the angels. Relatives and friends will be received Friday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford. Pastor Ann Brackett will officiate at a service in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be private www.yalesvillefh.com
