Charlotte Bell

MERIDEN - Charlotte E. (Thorp) Bell, 97, wife of the late Kenneth Bell Sr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Bradley Home.

She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Meriden a daughter of the late Dwight and Charlotte (McElrath) Thorp. She was a life long member of First Baptist Church and was the secretary for Kiss Lamp Company of Meriden for many years.
Charlotte is survived by a son, Kenneth A. Bell Sr., and his wife, Marlene, of Meriden; two grandsons and their wives, Theodore and Laura Bell, of Wallingford and Curtis and Charlene Bell, of Palm Bay, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren, Theodore Bell Jr., Ryan Bell and Meghan Bell.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. The Rev. Leon Hebrink will officiate. There will be no calling hours. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden has been entrusted with the arrangements.
