Christopher E. Kamens

PLYMOUTH - Christopher E. Kamens, 39, of Plymouth, former Thomaston resident, husband of Rachel (Racine) Kamens died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at his home.

Chris was born April 18, 1974, in Waterbury. He was the son of Edward Jr., and Mary (Hoebel) Kamens, of Thomaston and had been a resident of Thomaston most of his life. He was employed by Racine Plumbing of Meriden as a journeyman plumber and was also a graphic designer for Quantum Creative Services of Thomaston. Chris was a member of The First Congregational Church of Thomaston and the Diablos Motorcycle Club, with whom he loved to ride. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, a wonderful father, devoted husband, great brother, hard worker and a friend to many.

Besides his wife and parents he is survived by his, daughters, Piper Dawn Kamens and Chloe Lee Kamens, both of Plymouth; his grandmother, Bernice Kamens, of Farmington; his sister, Cathy Kamens and her husband, Donald Somerville, of Toronto, Canada; several nieces and nephews, including Ruth Ann Somerville, Hazel Jo Somerville, Mitchell Edward Somerville and Jade Marie Racine. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, at 11 a.m., at The First Congregational Church of Thomaston. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Relative and friends may call at the church Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Anyone wishing to send flowers are asked to send them to the church on Friday, March 28.
