MERIDEN - Dale Daniel Fearney, 37, died unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014.
Born in Meriden on Dec. 9, 1976, the son of Allison Kirkby Harris of Meriden and Dale and Gail (Hoffman) Fearney, of Meriden he had graduated from Hand High School in Madison and Eastern Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in sports management. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
. Dale served our country twice and once in Afghanistan. He loved his family, country and fellow Army brothers. He had compassion for the people of Afghanistan.
Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers, Ryan Fearney, Steven Fearney, Jeffrey Fearney and Christopher Fearney, all of Meriden; one sister, Caitlyn Harris, of Meriden; paternal grandmother, Shirley Wallace, of Maine; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Harris.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden with the Rev. Al Royal officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be in the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown at a later date.
