Dylan Mathew Knapp, 12, of Plainville, passed away, Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dylan was born Sept. 19, 2000, in New Britain, a son of Christopher and Laura (Stephens) Knapp. He attended Plainville Middle School as well as the American School for the Deaf. He was full of wonder and amazement for the simple things we often take for granted, such as the excitement of seeing a bird, a tree or a flower, the love of playing in water, his favorite Disney character Tigger, the joy of spending time with his brothers and sisters even in the middle of the night when they were asleep, the special time of hugging the ones he loves and most of all....cuddling with his mom. He was a very compassionate, confident and tenacious young man who faced all of his struggles with a fighting spirit and a smile.
Besides his parents of Plainville, he leaves his brothers, C.J. Knapp and Kyle Knapp, both of Plainville; his sisters, Valerie Boutote, of California and Rebekah Knapp, of Plainville; his grandparents, Sue and Darryl Dobratz, of Southington and Mike and Shirley Knapp, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dylan's family looks forward to sharing with you this love of life that Dylan had and to celebrate his new life with Jesus in heaven on Friday, June 14, starting at 5 p.m. at Wellspring Church, 222 Lincoln St., in Berlin with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. The Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., in Plainville has care of arrangements.
