MERIDEN - Fred Richardson, 71, of Meriden, husband of the late Elizabeth (Aguair) Richardson, died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, after a brief illness.
Born in Newport, N.H. on Aug. 15, 1943, the son of the late Carol and Virginia (Campbell) Richardson, he had resided in Meriden most of his life. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Meriden High School. Mr. Richardson was employed by Cuno Filtration Systems for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Church.
He is survived by three sons, Fred Richardson, of Waterbury, Mark Richardson, of Columbus, Neb., and David J. Richardson and his wif, Denise of Meriden; three grandchildren, Ashley, Kailey and Joshua; three sisters, Norma Barillaro, of South Meriden, Carol Bower and her husband, Howard, of Wallingford and Anita Cioffi, of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Matthew Richardson, of Southington; two sisters, Lee Catrona, of Meriden and Betty White, of Forestville.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church for a Mass of Christian burial.
