NORTH HAVEN-Frederick Morro, 92, of North Haven and Titusville, Fla., passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, in Florida. He was the husband
of the late Florence Russo Morro.
Fred was born in New Haven on Aug. 14, 1921, son of the late Ferdinando and Eva Marie D'Antuono Morro; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II
and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in North Haven for many years until his retirement. Fred was a member of the Moose Lodge in Merritt Island, Fla., was an avid golfer, enjoyed cooking, gardening and dancing.
He was the father of Anthony (Lois) Nargi and Laura (Robert) Cretella; grandfather of Alyssa (Wes Jakubiec) Nargi, Keith (Kristen) Nargi, Jennifer Cretella Candido and Heather (Tammy Graziano) Cretella; great-grandfather of Ryan Nargi. Predeceased by his siblings Lucia Criscuolo, Pasqualina Merola, Geda Mazzetta, Mary Rolley, Charles, Joseph, James and Anthony Morro.
His funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday, March 25. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Therese Church.
