Georgia M. Thurman

WALLINGFORD- Georgia Marie Vincent Thurman, 97, of South Carolina, formerly of Wallingford, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Rex Thurman.

She was born in Conway, Mo., April 16, 1916, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Eliza J. Gann Vincent. Mrs. Thurman lived in California until moving to Wallingford in 1984 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. They moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 2003. She enjoyed being with her family, knitting, sewing and tending to her garden.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Ralph Pascale. of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Brenda Raffile (Tim), Cindy Jackson (Gary), and Stacey McPherson-Ranciato (Michael Ranciato), all of Wallingford, Tim Thurman (Connie) and Mitch Thurman, all of California, and Kirk Thurman (Dawn) and Debra Schindler (Todd), all of Oregon; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Earl Thurman; her grandson, Anthony Thurman; four brothers; and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
