Gerald J. Noonan

MERIDEN - Gerald J. Noonan, 75, died on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Meriden on June 3, 1938, he was the son of the late James and Edna (Lemke) Noonan and had resided in Meriden most of his life. Mr. Noonan was employed by Masonicare of Wallingford for 42 years. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S.Army. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima church and was a member of Masonic Temple 77, A.O.H., VFW Meriden 585, and the American Legion Post 200.

He is survived by three daughters; four sons; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane, Meriden. There are no calling hours.
