Igino Rucci

WATERBURY - Mr. Igino Rucci, 69, of Waterbury, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Annunziata (Sanzo) Rucci.

Igino was born on Oct. 1, 1944, in Sepino, Campobasso, Italy, son of the late Nicola Rucci and Margarita Rotundo de Rucci. He was a carpenter at LesCare Kitchens for many years, retiring in 2004. He loved his family dearly, loved cooking and gardening (especially his figs) and he loved food and drink with friends and family.

Besides his wife of 47 years, he leaves behind two daughters, Margarita Barbour, of Terryville and Maria Espinosa and her husband, Tabare, of Meriden; two brothers, Jose Rucci, of Uruguay and Angelo Rucci, of Canada; three grandchildren, Veronica Espinosa and Valerie Espinosa, of Meriden and Victoria Barbour, of Terryville.

Funeral will be held Saturday, May 24, at 9:30 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway to SS. Peter & Paul Church for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
