SOUTHINGTON - John P. Aduskevich, 66, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Karen (Docar) Aduskevich for 42 years.
He was born Dec. 3, 1946, in Bristol, son of the late Peter and Mary (Soltis) Aduskevich. He retired from the Board of Education in Southington as Supervisor of Building and Grounds serving for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army
veteran during the Vietnam Conflict. His grandchildren and family were his biggest joy in life.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Lt. Commander Kyle Aduskevich and his wife, Kristie and their children, Alexander and Nicholas, of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Ryan Aduskevich and his wife, Lindsey and daughter, Emma, of Southington; a brother, Peter Aduskevich, of Higganum; a sister, Barbara Legenza, of Trumbull. He also leaves a special mother-in-law, Cecelia Docar; sister-in-law, Kristen McKenna and brother-in-law, Greg Docar; also several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
The funeral will be held Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be with military honors at Quinnipiac Cemetery.
