WALLINGFORD - Josephine C. Urbano D'Agostino, 81, of Wallingford, loving wife of the late Aldo D. D'Agostino, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Masonicare Health Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Wallingford, Sept. 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Stefano and Elvira Del Greco Urbano and had been a lifelong Wallingford resident. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary and James Sullivan, of Wallingford; Elvira "Vera" and James Bailey, of Durham; Aldo D'Agostino Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Meriden; Vincent and Karen D'Agostino, of Wallingford; and Fatima and James Marut, of Meriden; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her two sisters, Mary Mongillo and her husband, Anthony, of West Haven; and Virginia Mathers and her husband, Harold, of Meriden; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Andrade; and her brothers, Pasquale, Nicholas, and Steven Urbano.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Thursday, June 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.www.wallingfordfh.com
