WALLINGFORD - Kay Smith Bouza, 74, of Wallingford, beloved wife of N. Thomas Bouza, died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at their residence.
Born in Hartford, Feb. 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Hazen and Mildred Oefinger Smith, she had been a Wallingford resident for many years. Kay had been employed by the former Stanley Judd Company, Cable Waves Systems and Data Products, all of Wallingford, until her retirement. She was a member of TOPS, an avid bingo player, who faithfully traveled on the "Charlie Bus" and a diehard Boston Red Sox fan.
Besides her husband Tom, she is survived by her daughter, Tammy Bouza, of Wallingford; her two sons, Steven Bouza, of Wallingford, and David Bouza and Kimberly Gauntlett, of Meriden; her granddaughter, Marisa N. Bouza; her sister-in-law, Patricia Smith, of Meriden; and her close friend, Jeanne Bechtold. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Bouza; and a brother, Richard Smith.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., Yalesville section of Wallingford, Saturday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden will be private. www.yalesvillefh.com
