MERIDEN - Lorraine Paquin Alfonso, 76, of Meriden, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Regency House of Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of Ernest M. Alfonso Jr.
Born in Acushnet, Mass., August 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lauretta Marchessault Paquin, she was a Meriden resident for over 50 years. She had been employed by the former Jefferson Federal Bank from 1959 until her retirement as manager and assistant treasurer in 1985. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Sherri Clark and her husband, Richard, of Meriden; and Karen Puglisi, of Port Orange, Fla.; her son, Daniel Alfonso and his wife, Jean, of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Christopher Puglisi, of Merrimack, N.H.; Natasha Mendes and her husband, Paulo, of Wallingford; Taylor Clark and his wife, Heather, of Meriden; Jocelyn Clark and her fiancée, Felix Velazquez, of Meriden; and Elizabeth Puglisi, of Port Orange, Fla.; her great-grandchildren, Paige Allbee; Spencer Mendes; and Ian Mendes; and several nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Monday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be private in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the
