MERIDEN - Mary Kavanaugh Morganson, 95, of Meriden, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Bradley Home. She was the loving wife of the late C. Clark Morganson.
She was born in Southington, Oct. 26, 1918, a daughter of the late Martin and Mary O'Neil Kavanaugh and had been employed by the Meriden Board of Education until her retirement. She was a very active volunteer for many causes, a member of the Connecticut Council of Catholic Women and a parishioner of Holy Angels Church
She is survived by her four sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles and Linda Morganson, of New Hampshire, Michael Morganson, of Louisiana, James and Mary Morganson and Robert Morganson, all of New York; her nine grandchildren, Chuck Morganson and his wife, May Lynn, Melissa Buganski and her husband, Chris, Shannon Johanson and her husband, Eric, Jason Morganson and his wife, Beth, April Morganson, Matthew Morganson, Abbey Morganson, Kari Morganson and Cori Morganson; her great-grandchildren, Lexi, Mason, Tai, Shea, Nick and Isabelle; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; and two brothers.
Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the "Angels" of Bradley Home and her special niece, Luann Plourde who all gave compassionate care to Mary.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., in the Yalesville section of Wallingford on Friday, May 9, from 8:45 until 9:45 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Holy Angels Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
