SOUTHINGTON - Michael "Bobby" Angelillo, 82, of Southington, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain.
He was born July 9, 1930, son of the late Henry and Amelia (Panella) Angelillo. He had been employed at the former Southington Hardware and retired from Wheeler Group, division of Pitney Bowes in New Hartford. He was a graduate of Lewis High School, and a graduate of Hartford Accounting School. He was a veteran of the Korean War
serving in the U.S. Army
in the Alaskan Territory. He was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 and a former trustee for the San Sisto Della Neve Society. He was the most ardent St. Louis Cardinals fan in town; he loved to travel, including Washington State, California and Italy. He had been a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.
He is survived by a brother, Joseph M. Angelillo, of Southington; one nephew, Ron Tyrrell and his wife, Donna; two nieces, Ruth Krallinger and Robin Platt and husband, Christopher. He also leaves his "adoptive" nieces, Shaunna Faye and husband, Wayne, Susan Sheehan and husband, Patrick, Spencer Fontenay and husband, Sean and Sharlene Casey and husband, William.
The funeral will be held Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. for a Mass. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
