Richard J. Lamoureaux

MADISON - Richard J. Lamoureux, 70, beloved husband of Catherine P. Lamoureux, died after a lengthy illness on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at the Madison House with his loving wife at his side.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of Bernadine C. Cormier Lamoureux and the late Leo L. Lamoureux. He had attended St. Laurent School and Francis T. Maloney High School. He graduated from Fairfield University. Mr. Lamoureux was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 35 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending winters at their home in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two brothers, James Lamoureux and his wife, Lis,a of Meriden; and Kenneth Lamoureux and his wife, Theresa, of Southington; one brother-in-law, George Pascucci and his wife, Peggy, of Meriden; two beloved goddaughters, Melissa Poulin and Virginia Pascucci; one niece, Jenna Lamoureux; and one nephew, Matthew Lamoureux.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Friday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Laurent Church, 121 Camp Street, Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.
