EAST HAVEN - Roy E. Mandrow, 84, of Maplevale Road, East Haven, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Midstate Medical Center, Meriden.
He was born in New Haven on Dec. 17, 1928, son of the late Leon and Iva Branch Mandrow. Roy served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II, and had worked as a machinist for Pratt & Whitney.
He was the father of Sherri (Ken) Gagne, of Meriden and Donna King, of East Haven. He was the grandfather of Crystal, Stephanie, and Amanda Gagne, Patrick John, Shawn and Steven King. Also, he was survived by one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Family and friends may call on Thursday, (TODAY), from 5 to 8. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06540.

Roy's family,we have fond and fun memories of Roy.He always was a fun person with a good story and did pull a lot of pratical jokes at Doody's where we both worked.He and his family will be remembered in our prayers.
