William R. Thompson Sr.

MIDDLETOWN - William R. Thompson Sr., 66, beloved husband of Suzanne Conroy Thompson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Miller Memorial Community in Meriden.

Bill was born in Norwalk, July 5, 1946, the youngest son of the late Edward P. Thompson Sr., and Rose Deline Ashby Thompson. Bill was the owner and operator of the House and Garden Shop in Stamford for many years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Meriden and the Meriden Elks Lodge No. 35.

In addition to his wife, Suzanne, he is survived by his two children, William R. Thompson Jr., and his wife, Vicky, of Stratford and Christine M. Thompson, of Norwalk; and several grandchildren.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Saturday, Jan. 19, from 4 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to Star-Inc, 182 Wolfpit Avenue, Norwalk, CT. 06851.
